Marta Kostyuk confidently defeated Aliaksandra Sasnovich in the first round of the WTA 250 tournament in Parma
The Ukrainian tennis player Marta Kostyuk successfully started her performance at the WTA 250 tournament in Parma, Italy. In the first round, she confidently defeated the representative of Belarus, Aliaksandra Sasnovich, in two sets with a score of 6:3, 6:2.
The match lasted 1 hour and 23 minutes. During this time, Kostyuk made 5 aces, made 4 double faults, and also won 78% of points on the first serve and 62% on the second.
In the second round, Kostyuk will play with the winner of the match between Swiss Viktorija Golubic and Romanian Irina-Camelia Begu.
Note that Kostyuk is a quarterfinalist of the US Open-2023, where she lost to the future winner of the tournament, Polish Iga Swiatek.
Aliaksandra Sasnovich is a two-time WTA tournament winner. She won the Seoul Open in 2015 and the Hua Hin Championships in 2018.
