Timothy James "Tim" Walz (born April 6, 1964) is an American politician, former schoolteacher, and retired U.S. Army National Guard officer serving as the 41st governor of Minnesota.

A member of the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party (DFL), Walz was elected governor in 2018 and re-elected in 2022.

Prior to his gubernatorial career, he served in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2007 to 2019.
